These terms and conditions apply to makeup/hair services provided by Elizabeth Crossley ABN 80174382190. Upon booking a makeup/hair service with Elizabeth Crossley and her sub-contractors or affiliates, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
All Wedding Hairstyling and/or Makeup Bookings Require a $100 Non refundable Deposit to secure a specific date. The Wedding Day Booking is fully secure upon email confirmation of payment of deposit and payment cleared within bank account.
Official quotes are able to be sent to a client, this quote is for information purposes only and does not guarantee a booking. Pricing quoted as of Contract Date is final and is not subject to change.
Final Invoice will be sent prior to the booked Wedding date. Invoice is able to be sent at any time if client requests. Payments can be made at any time and will be deducted from final invoice. Final Payment is required on or before the Wedding Date. If paying via bank transfer, funds are required to be cleared in bank account by the Wedding Date. Payments can be made via cash or bank transfer.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGE IN SERVICE NUMBERS/DATE
Client Cancellations– If cancellation by the client occurs within 8 months of the Wedding Date Booking the Retainer/Deposit taken upon booking is non-refundable. If cancellation by the client occurs prior to 8 months the Retainer/Deposit is able to refunded within 2 weeks. Any additional payments made towards the Wedding Date only (trials performed not included) may be able to refunded within 2 weeks. Client agrees that the above refund/s are the only liability to Elizabeth Crossley and her affiliates.
Service number changes- If significant changes occur to service numbers within 2 months of Wedding date there may be a part payment required for those numbers lost such as 40% of each service lost.
Date Changes– If a date change occurs more than 8 months prior to the booked Wedding date, Retainer/Deposit can be transferred to a new date pending availability. If Wedding Date change occurs within 8 months of the Wedding Date there may be an additional Retainer/Deposit required to secure the new date. If Elizabeth is unable to assist on a new date she will refund Retainer/Deposit and any additional payments towards the wedding date that may have been made within 2 weeks and endeavour to supply you with a list of recommendations of Artists of a similar style/experience level or with Client approval, replace herself with another trusted artist. In the event the client still books with Elizabeth and another Artist is booked to look after the client all payments will still be made through Elizabeth.
Artist Cancellation- If the artist/s cancels at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or if unable to perform their duties for any reason such as illness and not be able to find a replacement artist/s, the Retainer/Deposit paid and any additional payments towards the Wedding Day Booking will be fully refunded within two weeks.
Trial/Preview Makeup/Hair services can be booked at any time pending availability. Trial/Preview is to be paid on or before service date. Trial/preview payment will be included in final invoice for clients records.
EVENT HAIR/MAKEUP (NON WEDDING RELATED) BOOKINGS
All other makeup/hair services such as formals and special occasions require a $50 Retainer/Deposit and a minimum of 48 hours to cancel or reschedule the booking. Some bookings may require a Contract signed. Official quotes are able to be sent to a client, this quote is for information purposes only and does not guarantee a booking.
Retainer/Deposit is non-refundable in the event the client cancels the booking. If no deposit is taken at the time of booking the appointment, then a cancellation fee may still apply if less than 48 hours notice is given re:cancellation of booking. If any payments towards job have been made outside of the deposit- this will be refunded within two weeks of cancellation by the artist.
If the artist cancels at any time or if unable to perform her duties for any reason and not be able to find a replacement artist/s, the Retainer/Deposit paid and any other payments outside of the deposit/retainer will be fully refunded within two weeks. Client agrees that the refund is the only liability to Elizabeth Crossley and her affiliates.
Travel is complementary within a 50km radius of Artist Residence. Outside of 50km, travel is calculated based on distance and not time unless there are extenuating circumstances outside of Artist control such as severe weather or traffic incidences. Elizabeth Crossley is a mobile Makeup Artist/Hairstylist and travels for all Bookings.
Any tickets such as flights/ferry/barge and any accommodation/transfers if required is to be organised and paid for by the client. In circumstances when parking fees apply, the client will be required to cover the charges when services are being conducted, for example hotel parking, secure parking and metered parking. An invoice can be sent to client with receipt of parking post event/Wedding.
There is an early start fee for an early start time 5am and earlier of $100.
There are no additional charges for extra Artists required for a booking in the event Elizabeth Crossley requires assistance for makeup/hair services. All assistants are trained, qualified and insured.
For any Hair/Makeup service the Artist allows 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes per Makeup service and 45 minutes to 1.5 hours for Hairstyling dependent on various factors such as Hair length/style required/prep involved/makeup style chosen. Previews/Trials are not to exceed 1.5 hours per service. It is understood extra time is usually required for discussion/changes with preview/trial bookings. An extra charge may apply if booking exceeds 2 hours per service. Acceptance of completed makeup/hair service by client is acknowledgement by client that makeup/hair is done to his/her satisfaction, changes are able to be made if required and within booked timings.
LIABILITYElizabeth Crossley requires information on whether the client has skin conditions or allergies. In no event shall Elizabeth Crossley have any liability for incidental, or consequential damages however characterised, for example eczema, sensitive skin and eyes. All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between every makeup application and between every job. Any skin or hair condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the artist, Elizabeth Crossley from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions. Elizabeth Crossley takes allergies and skin conditions seriously and does reserve the right to refuse any application of products and use of tools/brushes in the event of any contagious skin or hair conditions such as lice or coldsores.
PHOTOGRAPHY/ SOCIAL MEDIA
Elizabeth Crossley reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any hair/makeup services, and may use any such photographs for promotional and/or commercial purposes on social media/website/printed materials – Written consent is obtained when client agrees to Terms and Conditions and signs and returns the Service Contract. Elizabeth will not share any images if the client does not agree to images being shared.
*Elizabeth is Vaccinated against Covid as per government health advice and also adheres to Covid Safe practices of wearing masks when mandated/suitable and sanitising hands, surfaces and products/brushes.
